Marc Jacobs was born in New York City on April 9, 1963. In 1986 Jacobs designed his first collection with the Marc Jacobs label. In 1995, the first Marc Jacobs store opened in New York's Soho district. Since that time, the retail network has expanded to include stores in cities worldwide, specializing in women's and men's fashions, leather goods, shoes, and now perfume. The company continues to expand while maintaining its dedication to quality and a genuine love for fashion.
